Jejak Rimba Raya is a local enablers organization based on community, conservation, and collaboration that aims to protect the Leuser Ecosystem forest from encroachment for social and climate justice through a sustainable business ecosystem. We strive to find Nature-Based Solutions to social and environmental challenges by accelerating sustainable use through various sources of innovation, studies, and development of various potential natural resources originating from forests so that they can be managed, preserved, and protected together.
Introducing Serimba Community
To drive the success of this initiative, we want to work with the 200+ local residents of Batee Meucanang. We know that this change may take a long time, so to create a safe space for these change agents, we formed the Serimba Community group. By introducing them to alternative green jobs, we can help restore the Leuser Ecosystem as a habitat for native wildlife, and through ongoing mentoring programs they can change their mindset from forest destruction to conservation so that this work is sustainable. By moving away from encroachment, habitat restoration can be carried out more massively and increase the population of native species in the ecosystem.
We were inspired to create this journey by seeing so many environmental and social issues that we can help change and solve. Communicating this to the public is one of the steps we have taken from the beginning until now.

Founder and Head of Program Development. Restu is the visionary behind Jejak Rimba Raya’s mission. He is actively involved in community organizing, initiative development, partnership building, and strategic decision-making for Jejak Rimba Raya’s sustainability.
Ari Zonanda

Ari is a young researcher who has a great interest in environmental and ecological studies that he is currently studying. For the past few years, he has been conducting several researches on environmentally friendly products from responsible practices, and he hopes to bring his discipline to Jejak Rimba Raya.

As a forestry graduate with a focus on forest management, Saidul has a deep concern for forest and environmental sustainability, especially the Leuser Ecosystem. This concern drives him to continue to contribute to efforts to manage sustainable forest resources and empower communities around the forest.

Imam is passionate about environmental conservation and leads a team dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in the communities built by Jejak Rimba Raya.
